SBA Veterans Small Business Advisory Committees to Host Virtual Public Meetings, March 2 (10AM PT) & March 3 (6AM PT)
The SBA Interagency Task Force on Veterans Small Business Development (IATF) and Advisory Committee on Veterans Business Affairs (ACVBA) will hold virtual public meetings via Microsoft Teams. The IATF and ACVBA committees convene quarterly to address the current state of veteran-owned small businesses and provide updates on how the SBA and Congress can best serve veterans by reducing barriers of access to small business ownership. Small Business Digital Alliance Announces National Members and First Slate of Events
The Small Business Digital Alliance (SBDA) announced its national members and a slate of upcoming events on 02/23. The SBDA is a new public-private co-sponsorship between SBA and Business Forward, Inc., a non-profit organization working with small business leaders in support of policies promoting America’s economic competitiveness, focused on connecting entrepreneurs with critical digital tools and resources to start and expand their businesses to scale for success, including in the burgeoning e-commerce economy. Coffee with the Embassy of Colombia and SBA, March 2 at 11AM PT

SBA Introduces Course in Government Contracting to Online Digital Learning Platform
The new course has six components:
- Government As Your Customers – helps the user understand government as a customer.
- Government Contracting Opportunities – evaluates contracting opportunities with local, state, and federal governments.
- Government Subcontracting Opportunities – helps to identify subcontracting opportunities.
- Set-Aside Certifications – guides the business through what is needed to plan and pursue federal government contracting certifications.
- Federal Solicitations – analyzes the components of the federal solicitation process.

Grant Opportunity for State Governments to Offer Small Business Cybersecurity Assistance
Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman, head of the SBA, announced $3 million in new funding for state governments to help emerging small businesses across America develop their cybersecurity infrastructure. As part of the Cybersecurity for Small Business Pilot Program, state governments are eligible to compete for grants that will help deliver cybersecurity assistance to nascent and start-up business owners.
