On December 8, 2021, Scott Norwood was sentenced in the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah to 2 years of probation and a $25 special assessment. In September 2021, Norwood pleaded guilty to three counts of making false statements to FAA. The investigation revealed that in January 2017, and again in January 2018, and January 2019, Norwood, a commercial pilot and flight instructor, made false statements on FAA Form 8500-8, Application for Medical Certificate.
