Women in Business Panel: How Strategic Growth Planning Can Accelerate Your Business - CWE Vermont - Virtual

Women in Business Panel March 11: Strategic Growth Planning

The Small Business Administration and the Center for Women and Enterprise Vermont are hosting a virtual panel discussion about strategic growth opportunities for woman-owned businesses at 10 a.m. March 11.

Strategic growth planning is one of the most important aspects of building a business and can be difficult. This panel will explore why past participants of CWE and SBA’s strategic growth training programs have raved about these free opportunities to plan for sustainable, profitable growth.

Vermont small businesses that have only experienced a one-hour business workshop should consider an intensive, strategic planning program as a next step.

CWE’s program, Power Forward, focuses on businesses with revenues of $50k to $400k, where VT SBA’s program, Emerging Leaders, focuses on businesses with revenues of $250,000 or more and at least one full time employee besides the owner. These programs provide opportunities to work with experienced coaches and to develop connections with peer businesses and community resources. During the intensive program, participants will develop a three-year growth action plan with benchmarks and performance targets that will help them achieve their goals.

Past participants have reported notable increases in revenues and profitability, increased number of employees and space, and self- discipline to continue the strategic planning process to ensure the continued growth of the business.

Panelists:
– Kim Donahue, owner of  Inn at Round Barn Farm www.theroundbarn.com, SBA Emerging Leaders graduate class of 2021
– Cairn, Cross, Cofounder and Managing Director of FreshTracks Capital, www.freshtrackscap.com/, SBA Emerging Leaders instructor
– Carolyn Cooke, owner of Triple C Strategy, CWE Vermont Power Forward Instructor
– Alexs Schuman, owner of Nomadic Kitchen, https://www.nomadic-kitchen.com, CWE Vermont Power Forward graduate 2019
