Nominate Your Business for a SBA National Small Business Week Award!
The U.S. Small Business Administration, San Antonio District Office is now accepting nominations for the 2023 National Small Business Week (NSBW) Awards. The NSBW Awards recognize the achievements of SBA-assisted small businesses and the contributions they have made to their communities and our nation’s economy.
National Awards
National Small Business Week award nomination forms include:
DEADLINE for all NATIONAL nominations must be submitted no later than 2 p.m. CDT, December 8, 2022.
Guidelines for national awards are at National Small Business Week Awards (sba.gov). For the Small Business Person of the Year, Exporter of the Year, 8(a) Graduate of the Year, Women’s Business Center of the Year, and Small Business Development Center of the Year, you must submit your nomination materials to the corresponding SBA District Office.
District Office Awards
To be nominated and receive one of the following local district awards, the small business nominee must fit within the category of the award, demonstrate success in business and complete and submit the required nomination package information.
- Young Entrepreneur of the Year
- Family-Owned Business of the Year
- Minority Small Business of the Year
- Veteran Owned Business of the Year
- Women Owned Business of the Year
- Small Business Champion of the Year
- Small Business Media Advocate of the Year

Nomination packages must include:

For all awards – A completed SBA Background Form 3300.For “team” nominations, a background form is required for each team member

District only – A completed SBA Form 3315 will be used for ALL District Office Awards above

National only – Each national award has a specific nomination form. The national nomination forms can be found above or at National Small Business Week Awards (sba.gov)

For all awards – An original 8” x 10” or 5” x 7” photo of the nominee or a digital photo – at least 300 dpi is required; photocopies are not acceptable. For “team” nominations, a photo of each nominee or group photo is acceptable.

For all awards – Additional supporting documentation deemed significant by the nominator, including news clips, letters of recommendation, nomination letter (if not self-nominated), and other evidence of the appropriateness of the nomination. Supporting documentation may not exceed 10 pages. Videos will not be considered.
