Mississippi Development Authority STEP Update Webinar

Almost 95% of the U.S. consumers live outside of the U.S., and two-thirds of the world’s purchasing power is in foreign countries. Companies that export realize an increase in sales faster, create higher paying salaries and are more likely to remain in businesses more than non-exporting companies. The International Trade Office of the Mississippi Development Authority has international trade program services that helps qualified export ready Mississippi companies export to, enter into and expand their products into international markets. 

The International Trade Office of the Mississippi Development Authority’s Trade Office also manages the State Trade Expansion Program (STEP). This program is funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration and one of the primary goals is to help exporters to defray the costs of these program services and off-set some the export-related expenses. Upon completion of participation in an MDA International Trade Program services, eligible STEP program client companies are able to complete travel expense vouchers and apply for up to half of their qualified STEP reimbursable expenses.
