Are you a small business interested in working with the Federal Emergency Management Agency? Did you know that Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is opening a Field Office in New Mexico? Would you like an opportunity to meet with procurement representatives who can help you locate opportunities with the Agency?
As part of the New Mexico Procurement Technical Assistance Center’s (PTAC) continuing effort to provide meaningful outreach events to their clients, they are hosting FEMA, the New Mexico District Office Small Business Administration (NMDO SBA), and the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in a virtual “Doing Business With FEMA” workshop.

It’s that time of year! The annual BuyBlack Holiday Market & Conference is in–person!
Join the New Mexico District Office Small Business Administration (SBA) for a FREE event at the African American Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce BuyBlack Holiday Market & Conference! This event will be in–person on December 16, 2022, at the Balloon Fiesta Park. There will be 40 craft vendors, plus on-site food trucks, 20 informational tables, and seminars focusing on economic empowerment for Black, Minority, and Underserved businesses in the Greater Albuquerque area. See you there!

SBA’s Office of Advocacy Regional Advocate Janea Jamison will be a guest speaker. Janea and her team identify new issues and concerns of small business owners. They work closely with local government officials, state officials and legislators, and the Chief Counsel for Advocacy to develop programs and policies that support small business growth.

Congratulations to our New Mexico District Office Small Business Administration (SBA) T.H.R.I.V.E. Graduating class of 2022! The NMDO SBA T.H.R.I.V.E. cohort is a top-performing cohort and is currently ranked ninth out of 68 cohorts! Stay tuned for the list of local businesses that will be graduating from the T.H.R.I.V.E. Emerging Leaders Reimagined class of 2022. The SBA T.H.R.I.V.E. National Virtual Graduation ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, December 20, 2022, from 3:00 —5:00 pm MDT!
