2023 Commercial Outlook

2023 Commercial Outlook

The last two years have been a whirlwind of factors that have significantly disrupted the global economy, including quarantine shut-downs, supply chain disruptions, interest rate hikes and more.

Join us as we kick of 2023 with a discussion on anticipated growth levels, interest rates, regulatory expectations, supply chain recovery, and other factors that will impact capital markets, small business exporters, and the world economy.

Building off of a recently signed Strategic Alliance Memorandum, the SBA and BAFT are working together to bring you key insights and updates. You will hear an enlightening conversation between the American Bankers Association’s Chief Economist and the Bankers Association for Finance & Trade’s President & CEO, moderated by SBA’s Associate Administrator of International Trade.

Whether you are a small business, a lender, or a counselor, you will want to listen in!

Certification with SBA allows service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses (SDVOSBs) to compete for federal sole-source and set-aside contracts across the federal government.

SBA’s new Veteran Small Business Certification (VetCert) program has transferred the certification function from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to SBA as of January 1, 2023.

SBA will begin accepting applications for certification on January 9, 2023.  A link to the application portal will be posted at a later date at the SBA Veteran contracting assistance programs page.

For more details about the transfer and SBA’s Veteran Small Business Certification, see our Frequently Asked Questions, read the final rule, which provides program and governance guidance, Federal Register and view a live demo on the certification process, First Look and Live Demo of the new SBA Veteran Certification Program.
