Think your business is too small to contract with government agencies? Think again!

Join us and learn how to increase your company’s knowledge of federal, state, and local government contracting opportunities.
When Oregon and the Federal government contract with local small businesses, it’s a win-win for all of us. Public agencies across the state spend millions of dollars on goods and services providing vital infrastructure to all Oregonians. These dollars also create economic opportunities for local businesses.
Whether you’re starting a business; have been in business through generations; need assistance growing your business; or just want to learn how government contracting works, this training will provide guidance and tools in an easy to understand format. Contractors that register and join us will receive 4 Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credits to apply to their Construction Contractor’s Board (CCB) education requirements.
Presenters include State agencies, technical assistance centers such as:
– Government Contracting Assistance Program (GCAP) – Department of Administrative Services (DAS) – Oregon Certification Office for Business Inclusion and Diversity (COBID) – Oregon Secretary of State Office, the Oregon Department of Revenue – Chemeketa Small Business Development Center (SBDC) – and many others.

Government contracts are a tremendous financial opportunity for small businesses. The U.S. government is the largest customer in the world. It buys all types of products and services — in both large and small quantities — and it’s required by law to consider buying from small businesses.

Nearly 96% of consumers live outside the U.S., and two-thirds of the world’s purchasing power is in foreign countries. If you’re a small business owner, the Washington Export Outreach Team (WEOT) is ready to support business growth through international trade.
Established in 2013 following a national mandate to do more to support international trade, the WEOT is a collaborative team of local, state, regional, and federal export assistance agencies who provide you with the tools and resources that businesses need to sell internationally.
Join us on the 4th Wednesday of each month to learn more about the Washington Export Outreach Team agencies and the programs, resources, and technical assistance they provide to support small business growth through international sales.
The first Are You Ready to Export? episode will focus on meet the Washington Export Outreach Team (WEOT) and provide an overview of the entire webinar series.
